Busy Bangkok

Bangkok is a melting pot of cuisines. You can find delicious Japanese food, western food and of course Thai food. I love everything about Thai cuisine – the spiciness, the sourness with a tinge of sweetness. It’s just so appetising that you crave for more. If you are heading to Bangkok anytime soon, do check out the foods listed below.

Nara Thai Cuisine
Erawan Bangkok
Verdict: One of the best thai food I’ve ever had. It’s slightly pricey but you are paying for the quality.

Street food
Next to Pantip Plaza, The Computer City
Verdict: The perfect way to experience Bangkok is to dine like the locals. Delicious and cheap street food away from the tourists.

Chatuchak weekend market
Verdict: Other than Platinum mall, Chatuchak weekend market is the place to go if you are looking for arts and crafts, clothes, shoes… you name it, you can find it there. There are lots of delicious street food such as coconut ice cream, red ruby that you can buy and munch along. This place is a must visit!

Kum Poon
Central World 7/F
Beacon Zone
Rachadamri Road
Verdict: I found the food as almost good as Nara and it’s cheaper too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Siam Paragon food hall
Rama 1 Rd, Pathumwan
991, Bangkok 10330
Verdict: If you are looking for food to bring home for your family and friends, then this is the place to go. The supermarket and food hall with a wide variety of all sorts of thai snacks, spices, noodles. What’s more, there are free samples there for you to try before you make a decision on what to buy.

Honmono Sushi
Central Chidlom 3 FL
02-254-9137 & 02-254-9138
Verdict: If you are looking for good quality Japanese food, then this is the place to go.

King Kong
Thanon Inthra Phon
Bangkok, Thailand 10310
Verdict: Delicious Yakiniku barbecue buffet all for just 530baht (SGD22). The meat selection was good and they serve huge prawns. It’s so good that I would go back there again.
