South Island New Zealand

The South Island of New Zealand is a more popular tourist destination than the North Island. An ideal amount of time in the South Island would be at least two weeks. If you are thinking of doing any over night hikes especially for the Milford track, do remember to make bookings at least six months in advance because it is extremely popular during the Great Walks Season. Initially I had booked for the Routeburn track. Unfortunately, due to an accident in October, I was physically unable to complete a 3D2N hike so I had to make last minute changes to my itinerary. As it was over Christmas period, most of the accommodations were fully booked in Queenstown or ridiculously expensive, we ended up staying at Cardona Alpine Resort which has got to be one of the best places I’ve stayed in New Zealand! Here I am sharing my South Island itinerary, hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!  Destination Duration of stay Distance to next destination Picton 2 nights (N) ~279km Waipara …

North Island New Zealand

Hello Middle Earth! This is my last travel for 2018 and also my graduation trip. When I was planning this summer road trip for both North and South Island, I was very shocked by how expensive New Zealand is. Everything is easily at least NZD100 per pax hence I had to be very selective in my choice of activities. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed myself in the North Island especially at Rotorua and Taupo. We started the journey in Auckland and ended it in Wellington. From Wellington, we flew via Sounds Air to Picton for our South Island road trip. I really enjoy planning and sharing my road trips with fellow travellers. Feel free to leave comments or ask any questions! Roadtripping in Spain

I think one of the best ways to see a country is to travel by car. It gives you the flexibility to go wherever you want and to stop whenever you want. This year, I planned a 10 days road trip in Spain where we travelled from Barcelona down to Malaga. Spain is one of my favourite European countries – it is relatively inexpensive compared to France and UK, the food is good, the people are friendly and the architecture is amazing. As this was my second time in Spain, I decided to eliminate Madrid since I found it boring the last time I was there. The thing about planning a holiday is that you can do all the research beforehand but it doesn’t always go according to the plan. So I’ll be sharing with you my itinerary and a proposed itinerary. Travel plan Destination Duration of stay Distance travelled to next destination Barcelona 4D3N ~351km Valencia 2D1N ~281km Cartagena 2D1N ~295km Granada 3D2N ~201km Cordoba 2D1N ~145km Seville 2D1N ~205km Malaga 2D1N Barcelona We spent four …

Barcelona

Barcelona! One of my favourite European cities. Six years ago, I visited Barcelona for the first time and I went crazy. Every corner I turned, there was a Zara, Mango, Pull & Bear. I couldn’t stop shopping (FYI: There is a different price tag for the clothes sold in Spain, Portugal and Greece – it is about 30% cheaper than the other European cities). The same thing happened this trip but fortunately I managed to exercise some self control. Other than shopping, Barcelona has a couple of attractions that are worth visiting. The must-see attractions in Barcelona are: Sagrada Familia The beautiful but still under construction Basilica by Antoni Gaudi. Better to pre-book your tickets online to save time on queuing. There are a few different types of tickets but the basic ticket does not include the tower visit so if you would like to experience panoramic views, you have to purchase the top views tickets.
