Verdict: If you are looking for good authentic Sundanese food, then this is the place to go! It’s probably the best I’ve had in Bali! Highly recommend this place.

Nila sop – lightly fried Tipapia fish cooked with preserved vegetables served in clear soup

Tahu Tek-Tek – Tofu omelette prepared with longing (rice cakes) and topped with peanut and shrimp paste

Gurame Goreng – Deep fried carp fish

Kambing oven – Grilled marinated lamb served with chopped shallots and sweet soya sauce.

Stir fried Kang Kong – Very tasty

Ayam Goreng – grilled and fried chicken

Sop Iga – veal ribs cooked in clear soup

Nila Asam Manis – Sweet and sour Tilapia fish

Verdict: Pretty good Balinese food. I like the pork satays there but the other dishes are just slightly above average.

Vietnamese salad – Tastes average

Chicken satay – It was better than the satay I had at Warung Murah.

Pork satay – This was very delicious that we had to order a second serving.

Fried chicken with rice – The chicken was very dry.

Nasi Goreng with chicken satay – This was good.

Fried noodles – The noodles were soggy, we didn’t really like this dish.

Fish curry – Nice!

Verdict: Average Indonesian food, not worth the visit.

Beef soup – Tasty but probably laced with MSG

Chicken ball soup – Not a fan of this

Boiled kang kong – I got a shock when the dish came because the Kang kong in Singapore is never served this way. This is where understanding the local language helps.

Assorted vegetables with peanut sauce – Never liked peanut sauce so I’m not a fan of this.

Chicken satay – decent

Stir fried vegetables with spinach – This was good! We had 2 plates of it.

Nasi Goreng set – The rice was very tasty but it wasn’t served hot.

Chicken with rice set – The chicken was tender and tasty.

Verdict: I love this restaurant. The rice paddy fields gives a serene ambience and you can walk through the fields. They even have an area with lots of ducks – super cute! The food is good as well.

Yellow fin tuna tartare – Delicious! Even better than the one served in The Junction.

Salad Nicoise – Fresh yellow fin tuna with mixed greens

Caesar salad – Yummy

Pan roasted mahi mahi – perfectly seared fish with fragrant rice.

Grilled whole fish ‘jimbaran style’ – This was my favourite dish. The fish was crispy and tasty.

Duck confit – Pretty good!

Verdict: A must dine in Bali! This restaurant is extremely popular so be prepared to wait for at least 30min for a table during peak hours. The food there is good and reasonably priced.

Bruschetta – tastes alright, nothing fantastic

This was part of a set menu that comes with salad, pasta, steak and dessert, all for SGD17.

Aglio Olio – tasty but slightly salty

Ultimo pizza – Delicious!

Steak – well seasoned and cooked to the right temperature.

Steamed salmon with spinach – I enjoyed this dish. The salmon wasn’t overcooked and the spinach was delicious.

Layered orange cake with chocolate coating – I didn’t like the taste of the cake.

Salmon steak – It was nicely seared but nothing fantastic about this dish.

Tuna tataki – It was really delicious. Loved the red paprika sauce that came with the tuna.

Scallops Taglietelle – Tasty.

L’Entrecote de Paris – Grilled Rib Eye Steak with “Café de Paris” Butter French Fries & Sautéed Vegetables

Verdict: Decent Greek food.

Moussaka – This was good. I enjoyed it.

Greek salad – It’s hard to create the kind of Greek salad that you get in Greece because the tomatoes and onions are just different. The feta cheese tasted so-so only.

Beef kebab – It was nicely seasoned but the meat was slightly tough.

Meat lovers platter – I would order this if I ever dine in the restaurant again.

Gyros with pita bread – Quite good.

Calamari – Won’t recommend anyone to order this.

Rule of thumb – never ever order Italian food in a Greek restaurant. This dish was a disaster.

Verdict: The food is nice but I prefer Ultimo. Try the milk shake there, it’s delicious.

Deep fried potato skins – Yummy!

Seafood angel hair – Tastes good but the pasta was overcooked

Rib eye steak – It was a bad cut of steak which made it very chewy.

Oxtail soup – So yums! I loved the soup that I couldn’t stop drinking it.

Tuna steak – Good!

Mushroom and ham pizza – Average only.

Wagyu beef steak – Delicious.

Verdict: To me, this was the best Italian food – better than Ultimo. I was a bit apprehensive about dining in this restaurant at first as the Trattoria in Singapore was a disappointment. But the Trattoria in Bali was so much better than Singapore’s. A must dine!

Spinach souffle – The cheese smell was kinda strong for me but it went really well with the spinach.

Tortellini panna prosciutto – Home made meat filled tortellini pasta, in a ham creamy sauce

Vongole – Linguine pasta, with fresh clams in a light garlic & parsley sauce

Freshly cut fries – The best we had so far

Pappardelle verdi al funghi – Home made spinach pasta, in a mix of mushrooms cream sauce

Prosciutto cotto e funghi – Tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham and mushrooms

Prawn risotto with pumpkin puree – Once again, another delicious dish.

Seafood risotto – I’ve not had a good risotto since my trip to Italy but I’m happy to say, this tastes authentic and good!

Suprema di pollo – Sautéed chicken breast stuffed with emmental cheese mushrooms & fresh spinach, with mashed zucchini potatoes & sautéed cherry tomato
